Application fields of solvent-based pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) Owing to excellent water resistance and toughness, solvent-based pressure-sensitive adhesives (PSA) are widely used in automotive, electronics, computer, woodworking and medical industries. They are applied in bonding foam materials, splicing wood-based panels, manufacturing adhesive plasters, insulating tapes, transparent adhesive tapes, etc. II. Selection of SIS Grades in the Formulation The formulation is similar to the hot-melt type. For general-purpose pressure-sensitive adhesives, SIS 1105 and SIS 1106 can be used.For self-adhesive labels, SIS 1124 and SIS 1126 with high diblock content are preferred. For applications requiring high shear adhesion and high temperature resistance, SIS 1209 is recommended.
