When making oil-based solvent-type pressure-sensitive adhesives, how should one choose the SIS grade?

I. Application Areas of Oil-Based Solvent Pressure-Sensitive Adhesives

Oil-based solvent pressure-sensitive adhesives are known for their good water resistance and toughness. They are used in fields such as automotive, electronics, computing, woodworking, and medical applications for bonding foam materials, joining wood panels, making adhesive plasters, insulating tape, transparent tape, and more.

II. Selection of SIS Grades in the Formulation

The formulation is similar to that of the hot-melt type. For general-purpose pressure-sensitive adhesives, SIS1105 or SIS1106 can be used. For stickers, SIS1124 or SIS1126 with higher diblock content are suitable. For applications requiring high tack and high-temperature resistance, SIS1209 is preferred.
